Candelilla Wax is obtained from the plant E. Antisyphilitica, indigenous to the Chihuahua Desert of Mexico. Strahl & Pitsch is the world’s largest refiner of Candelilla Wax, with applications in many different industries.

分子式	本品是天然蜂蜡经化学漂白后的产品。
分子量	蜂蜡70%～75%的成分是具有偶数碳链，长度为24～36个碳的直链一元醇与直链酸酯化所形成的各种酯的混合物。直链酸所含的偶数碳原子**多可达36个，其中一些为C14位的羟基。所形成的酯主要是棕榈酸蜂花酯，同时存在的还有游离酸（约14%）和烃（约12%），以及约1%的游离蜡醇和脂肪酸的硬脂醇酯。

用途	用于增加乳膏和软膏的稠度，温度油包水型乳剂等。也用于打光糖衣片和调节栓剂的熔点。白蜡也用作缓释片的薄膜包衣，白蜂蜡微球用在口服剂型中，可抑制活性成分被胃吸收，使绝大部分吸收发生在肠道。用本品包衣可控制药物从离子交换树脂球中释放。润滑剂、基质、结合剂、乳化剂、赋形剂、分散剂。
给药途径	口服、外用
储存条件	本品加热至150℃以上时发生酯化，导致酸值降低熔点升高。当置于密闭容器中避光保存时，性质稳定。
禁忌	忌与氧化剂配伍。
