石蜡切片与其他技术方法的结合石蜡切片不*是经典的方法，又是**基本的方法，它与其他新的技术方法相结合，使传统的老技术扩大了应用范围，开辟了许多新领域，增加了许多新的研究、观察内容。随新的仪器及新的研究技术的不断问世及使用，使组织学的观察研究从简单的形态结构深入到各种成分的定性观察，又从定性转向定量计测，使细胞组织的形态，功能及代谢三结合，从而达到定性可靠、定位准确及定量可测。石蜡切片技术结合编辑组织制片技术与免疫学技术结合构成免疫组织（细胞）化学技术，利用抗原与抗体的特异性结合原理，检测组织切片中细胞组织的多肽及蛋白质等大分子物质的定性和定位观察研究。不论哪种免疫组织化学技术都包括抗体的制备、组织材料处理、制备玻片标本以及免疫染色。冰冻切片手续简便，制片过程中抗原活性丢失少，但组织细胞形态较差；石蜡切片步骤繁多，制片中抗原活性有所减低，但组织细胞形态清晰，是免疫组织化学常规制备切片方法之一。
